Have an individual thought about the fun science experiments at home that you can do?

There are several at home science experiments that you can try, all for free, which will show you just how hands on your kids can be.

You may have a child who likes science but would like to experiment with his or her own ideas, you should consider one of the many science experiments at home. Science experiments at home can be done simply by talking them through their ideas, or by having them work together in groups. For those with little or no experience, there are two simple but effective types of science experiments at home.

First there is the paper bag effect. This is probably the http://www.ssfctransport.com/ibm-info-science-expertise-tutorial/ simplest science experiment at home you can do. Basically all you have to do is place the paper bag on the floor and there is going to be some movement and action. The trick here is to keep the movement relatively slow.

I’m not going to go into great detail about what happens if you get the bag to move too fast; the article is way too long already. If you want to experiment with this one, here is a tip: Take your child’s help; hold the paper bag so it doesn’t roll, then let your child roll it around for a few minutes before letting it go.

Another experiment you can do with a child is the drop test. Basically, you need to create a paper cup, fill it with water, and then put a balloon inside it. Now, slowly drop the cup onto the floor; in about three seconds you will see if the balloon pops out or not.

Paper clips and goldfish make excellent science experiments at home. The first thing you will need to do is find paper clips. Once you have them, get some goldfish and place them inside of the cup, not the fish, the paper clips. After several minutes, make sure the goldfish swim out of the paper clip and back into the cup; you want to make sure that the goldfish stay inside of the paper clip, not swim out and fall to the floor.

Another experiment you can do is experiment with the paper bag effect. Place the paper bag on the floor and watch what happens to it. After awhile, as the plastic bag moves, watch how quickly it does it.

If you really want to show your child that science is for everyone, have him or her test physics teachers who come to your house. Have your child, as a group, take turns trying to explain something to a teacher, and see if he or she gets it right; you may also want to take note of the teacher’s reaction.

A very important part of science is thinking outside of the box. Have your child start to think of things he or she has seen in his or her life, such as a fossilized egg or a photograph of a dinosaur, then start to imagine what the world was like in that time. Take the fossilized egg and have your child search for the “little green men” that always seemed to cross his or her path when they were a child.

To really get into this type of experimentation, you will need to take the basics and add a little imagination, and that is exactly what you will find at home when you use science experiments at home to help your child understand more about the world. Instead of having your child study and memorize about what he or she has learned, why not have them participate in what they are learning? I have always been amazed at how simple a child can explain something when they are thinking of something fun and interesting.

Remember, you are your child’s parent; whatever you can do to make your child’s lives better, do it. You have to know you are raising children and that is a responsibility that goes beyond your homes.

Science experiments at home are a wonderful way to make your child interested in the earth and the wonders that are found within. Take the time to prepare and plan ahead, there is no better way to learn about nature than to do it.
